Tanzania is known as a peaceful country and when you visit Tanzania, you will find that the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, we would like to warn you that the association has received complaints from travelers who visited Tanzania and had an unpleasant experience during their safaris.

There are a number of illegal operators who search the streets for tourists to go to any national park at extra cheap rates. These operators do not have any licence's and will take advantage of their clients when out on safari . We strongly recommend that you use only legal tour operators.

We therefore request all travelers who wish to visit Tanzania, to make sure your chosen tour operator is a TATO member, who will accommodate and provide you the services you have requested. Please refer to the members page for a list of all our members.
